9/27/2023 0 Comments Folder lock![]() I like the concept but found it difficult to use. There is somehting wrong when I can't figure out a basic function of a product. I code webpages and do all kinds of digital products so I am not ignorant-but I could not get the basic function for using a folder on a flash drive. In other words-because they understand how the product works, they can't understand why a lay person doesn't understand simple functions. See the full range of user roles.They are nice-but too knowledgeable. Only the roles of Primary Owner, Owner and Admin have permission to lock and unlock folders. New folders and files can be uploaded/created.Ī locked folder must be unlocked before any user - regardless of their role - can delete/rename/move its contents.Some permissions still exist after a folder has been locked: The folder settings cannot be modified.The folder and its content cannot be modified.The folder and its content cannot be moved.The folder and its content cannot be renamed.The folder and its content cannot be deleted.Locked folders have the following restrictions: Any existing subfolder lock settings will be registered so that folders can resume their earlier settings if the parent folder is unlocked in the future.Īlternatively, you can choose for the lock/unlock to be forced upon all subfolders, overriding any existing locks: ![]() Right-click a folder and choose "Lock folder" from the context menu.īy default, all subfolders will inherit the lock settings from its parent folder.
